The Voter Services Committee, with support from the membership of the League of Women Voters of Calvert County (LWVCC) and its Outreach Partners, organizes Candidate Forums during election years. The goal of the forums is to educate voters about the positions held by the candidates running for various offices on the ballot. LWVCC conducts these forums on a nonpartisan basis and does not support or oppose any political party or candidate.
LWVCC follows a specific set of rules by which candidates who participate in its forums must agree to abide. The 2022 Candidate Forums will be held virtually and streamed via Facebook Live or YouTube. This will ensure widely-publicized and viewed events where all participants can be safe.
